It’s the week before Christmas 1991 and, humiliated, Nicole returns to Ellensburg, her hometown. The problem? Her sorority sister, Amy, throws her a lifeline: come to Big Mountain ski resort for the holidays with the diversion of a blind date. The trip goes sideways and Nicole ends up stranded at a hunting and fishing lodge in the middle of nowhere Montana. Her rescuers are the lodge’s owner, Dusty Malloy, and his 24-year-old clerk, Sam Paxton, whose long hair and unkempt beard make a bad first impression. Despite Sam’s appearance, the simmering attraction between Sam and Nicole reaches the boiling point just as Amy arrives to whisk Nicole away for the planned ski trip.
Enter Beej Paxton, Sam’s estranged nephew – who is more like a brother – a seductive charmer who has agreed to be Nicole’s date for the ski vacation.
